You're trying to be everything to everyone. You work hard to live up to everyone’s expectations (and doing a fabulous job, by the way) but are often left feeling overwhelmed, undervalued and unappreciated. On the outside you look like you have it all together, but on the inside you are struggling with value, recognition and connection; connection with others and, most importantly, with yourself.

 

Using an integrative and holistic approach, I help stressed out professionals find balance and fulfillment. My passion is to help people embrace their strengths, power and worth. I am here to help you identify what's holding you back, whether it is past trauma, current stress or that nagging voice in the back of your head that tells you that you're not worthy of the love and life you desire. Together we will work on developing healthy habits, set boundaries and communicate your needs in order to achieve your goals and dreams. 

 

In addition to traditional in-office and telehealth talk-therapy sessions, I like to combine exercise with psychotherapy. I offer outdoor therapy sessions at local parks and trails, where you have the opportunity to soak in sunshine, fresh air and get your body and brain moving as we work through issues and process feelings. Other forms of movement and activity, such as dance and yoga, may be used within the psychotherapeutic setting, as we work together to find balance and connect body, mind and spirit.

Hi! I’m Rachel Burleson, and it would be my honor to work together as you tackle your current challenges and struggles. Whether it’s depression or anxiety, relationship issues, trying to create balance in your daily routine or facing a major transition in life, I am happy to help you navigate these challenging times. I help clients work toward a balanced and healthy life as we examine current habits and thinking, letting go of those that do not serve us and creating new ones that allow us to be the best versions of ourselves.

 

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (TX # 84594) being supervised by Don Zablosky, LPC-S (TX # 1854). I hold a Masters in Counseling from Texas A&M University, Commerce as well as a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Adolescent Studies from California State University, Fullerton.

I have spent the majority of the past 20-plus years in public education serving as a school counselor and educational leader. My focus has been on serving children and their families focusing on academic needs, removing barriers to education and addressing any social, emotional or developmental issues that may hinder success and wellness.

Additionally, I am a personal trainer and fitness instructor, certified with the National Council on Strength and Fitness and have over a decade in the health and wellness field assisting clients with their goals. The combination of this training and experience paired with my formal education provides the specialized skills needed to work with people, struggling with body issues, self-worth and the depression and anxiety that can often result from these issues.
